25th Day of Challenge!

Buttons and Beads!

I suppose it is not surprising that people who craft use buttons and beads in their creations, and it is very much evident in todays listings from the Mad Mayhemmers.

I have a passion for vintage and unusual buttons! My absolute favourite are vintage glass buttons! I remember as a child sitting on the floor at my Mummy's feet sorting through her button tin!

It is for that nostalgic reason that I too have a button tin, and guess what, my daughter loves to sit and sort through my button tin too!

I have used both buttons and beads in my item today!

A hand knitted and crocheted handbag, in purple and green grape colours. The vintage costume jewellery necklace used for the strap on this handbag, has been loosely crocheted into the edging of the handbag, so that when weight is applied to the handbag, it gathers in as can be seen in the central picture.
