What a lovley selection! I am new to Folksy and have only just done my first FF this week! Thanks for leaving a comment on my blog. What is this one a day thing all about then sounds interesting?
Hi, just prior to April, a thread was posted asking if anyone wanted to challenge ourselves to list an item a day during April and promote each other for doing so, to see if it boosted views and hopefully sales.
Some of us are thinking of extending into May, join in if you would like to give it a go, watch out for threads in the Folksy Forum on it.
Crafting and selling of these items is a hobby for me. I'm a working Mum, with lovely children and fabulous Hubby. I have had a passion since childhood for fossils and gemstones, and have been collecting for many years. As a family we go on fossil hunting expeditions, but there is only so much you can keep for yourself.
My Husband and I are also fans or anything oriental and have collected Netsuke for many years, both vintage and modern items, but again there are only so many that you can keep, so am hoping our passion for these wonderful items is something others might also enjoy. Netsuke ('netskei) is a small carving usually made from wood or ivory and originally developed in Japan. This form of small sculpture served as toggle in Japan for over a period of more than three hundred years, for both functional and aesthetic purposes.
I enjoy knitting and working with yarn and wool, making items from simple scarfs through to hand made handbags. Inspiration often taken from nature or by the look of how differing yarns, wool and other products work together. Each of these items will be unique and guaranteed hand made by myself.
