Saint Gemma!

Marwell Recycling!

The lovely Gemma from DamselFlyGemma fame, undertook an amazing task to support a recycling event at Marwell Zoo and also in the process supported and promoted Folksy to all who came to her stall.

She did not just take her own wonderful products and creations, but kindly took products from other friends and folksy crafters who use recycled materials in some of their creations.

Read about her Marwell adventures here in her blog.

And visit her folksy shop by clicking on her picture below:

Here is a sample of some of my favourtie items in Gemma's shop!

It was a wonderful opportunity for promotion, but Gemma went over and above, by actually managing to sell one of my large fossil pictures for me.

The fossils for this picture were located in the wonderful county of Dorset, the two outer slate fossils were found in Kimmeridge, a beautiful spot to find ammonites buried between layers of slate, and the central pyrite ammonites were located in Charmouth and Lyme Regis, a little further around the Jurassic Coastline of Dorset.

  1. Aww! Thanks Natalie. You're such a sweetie.
I thought more of your fossils would sell as they are so amazing. Had a nice chat with a lady who used to live near Bath (I think she said Radstock). She said that she was always finding fossils in the garden and that a load of the houses round there have big ammonites in the walls!! I might have to go up there for a visit one day and I def want to go back to Lyme Regis to get me some pyrite ammonites
    Gemxxx
    ps See you tomorrow!!

  2. I think Gemma must be one of the loveliest people on Folksy, she's always got a nice word for everyone, so thanks Natalie for "bigging her up"!
