Folksy Friday! Jewels!

Jewels and Gems!

We've had a touch of summer, in amongst the rain, typical British weather, but when we have a chance to show our skin, or go out during the longer evenings to celebrate and socialise, nothing could be more perfect than to wear that perfect item of jewellery for the occasion, so this Friday I have decided to showcase some lovely jewels and gems.

Gorgeous Gems and Juicy Jewels!

Such pretty items deserved large pictures, but to get a full description, please pop across to the folksy shops included, by simply clicking on the picture, where you'll be treated to even more gorgeous pictures too.

I hope you have enjoyed my jewellery shopping wish list.

Thank you.

Folksy Friday! Where's the Birdie?

Cute Little Birds!

My camera is playing up, and not letting me take decent pictures at the moment, which I have found quite frustrating and has been on my mind a lot of late.

This is turn has made me nostalgic for our old and heavy camera, that we used when the children were young and the phrases we used to get the children to look at the camera, such as 'Where's the birdie?' Goodness knows why we used that phrase, other than that's what Dad used to say to us, that and 'Say Cheese!' which is not a lot of use when your talking to a baby, LOL!

So with these strange phrases going around in my mind, I thought I would find some cute birdies to show you for my Folksy Friday feature gallery this week.

Here's the Birdie!

Please just click on these wonderful Folksy finds to fly over to the shops in question, where you can branch out and look at the birds in more detail, and maybe even feather the nests of the shops in question, with a little purchase while you are there. OK enough of the bird references.

I hope you have found my cute birdies appealing.

Thank you!

July Jewels! Daily Listing Club!

July Jewels!

This months daily listing club challenge has started and already well into their monthly collective sales tally, which is amazing as we are only on day three!

The name most popular and voted for by those taking part was July Jewels, so whenever we have a sale, 'we', or should I say 'I' do a Jewel Jiggle, which has already been mentioned, brings to mind belly dancing routines, LOL. Its just a good thing the computer screens are not linked up with mini cams, as it would not be a pretty sight.

Jewel Feature Gallery!

I decided that my first July Jewel blog would feature fabric crafts, not to go with the obvious link to the name.

My listing today was actual named Jewel in the title, an embroidered yarn on felt Green Humming bird ACEO.

Some other gorgeous fabric finds today are below, please click on the pictures to view the items in greater detail, and feel the cloth, so to speak.

I hope you have enjoyed my fabric finds and will visit each shop, as these are just gorgeous.

Thank you!

Mix and Match Blog Give-away winner!

And the Winner is.....

Thank you everyone who took part in my Mix and Match Blog Give-away Competition to win the chance to spend £20.00 in my shop, or to have it in a voucher form to spend at a later date or give to a friend.

We had Chinese for tea tonight, as hubby was home for the weekend .... and we have just been paid! Yay!

So the children decided to draw the name with chopsticks from one of my hand knitted and crocheted handbags, the problem being my camera is not working very well at the moment, so I'm afraid you are going to have to take my word for it.

After various attempts and much giggling, we realised the only child of mine with dexterity in the use of chop sticks was my 11 year old daughter, who put her two older brothers to shame.

And the lucky winner is......

Drum roll please!

I will email Jan to let her know, and if she is happy to announce her choice, I will update the blog to say what she has chosen to do with her £20.00 win or voucher.

Thank you all once again!

Winning Choices!

Yay Jan has noticed she has won, so let me show you what our worthy winner chose.

The White Yorkshire Rose crocheted Corsage.

And the African Blood Jasper Heart Pendant!

Both of these winning choices will be wending their merry way to Jan's house on Monday morning.

Thank you all once again for taking part, and look out for future blog comps after the summer hols!

Sparkle and summer fun with this beautiful necklace.

Cute and the epitome of endeavour with this lovely little bumble bee glass creation.

Which lady would not love to receive this delicate birthday card?!?
And I hope you don't mind me including one of my own creations today, having a bit of a bird fest with my embroidery at the moment, this is the latest in my bird series.

I hope you have enjoyed my flight of fancy and will check out the shops in question.

Thank you.
