Folksy Friday! Trees!

Wonderful Majestic Tree's.

At this time of year, with leaves starting to fall, we see tree's in a differing light, stripped bare and ready for a winter snooze.

Displaying a differing quality of Majesty and solemn, benign power.

I am a bit of a tree hugger, just call me Swampy!

I have found some wonderful tree inspired items on folksy, ranging from stunning photography to images created in various mediums and materials with tree's as focal point.

Deciduous and Evergreen, you gotta love tree's.

Why not 'branch' out and take a closer look at some wonderful items in the folksy 'family tree'.

If something has caught your imagination within these items, it would only be natural. Please just click on the picture to be taken to these lovely Folkster's shops for a closer inspection and enjoy the wonder of trees in all their glory.

Thank you!

September Stars, 7th Day!

Where's the Birdee!

Wow! The September Stars have been watching the birds flying in the Autumnal skies, become inspired and have listed a whole 'flock' for us today!

Feathered Feature!

I was amazed to notice so many bird themed items today, I felt it only fair to let them 'preen', 'chirp' and 'flutter' onto this blog and be seen in all their glory!

Please just take a 'peck', sorry peek into these sellers shops and maybe you could 'fly' off with a wonderful item, but hurry before someone beats you to it, remember, a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.
Hurry before they fly south for the winter!

Personal Stellar Feature.

I have not managed to do a full September Stars blog for a couple of days, that is why I have featured double the amount of the other member Stars items today than normal.

Therefore, my personal stellar feature is a little larger, I am not going to show you everything I have listed since I last blogged, but just four of the latest. Please click on one the pictures and review it and peruse the other items in my shop too.

Thank you and please flap over to Folksy!

Saint Gemma!

Marwell Recycling!

The lovely Gemma from DamselFlyGemma fame, undertook an amazing task to support a recycling event at Marwell Zoo and also in the process supported and promoted Folksy to all who came to her stall.

She did not just take her own wonderful products and creations, but kindly took products from other friends and folksy crafters who use recycled materials in some of their creations.

Read about her Marwell adventures here in her blog.

And visit her folksy shop by clicking on her picture below:

Here is a sample of some of my favourtie items in Gemma's shop!

It was a wonderful opportunity for promotion, but Gemma went over and above, by actually managing to sell one of my large fossil pictures for me.

The fossils for this picture were located in the wonderful county of Dorset, the two outer slate fossils were found in Kimmeridge, a beautiful spot to find ammonites buried between layers of slate, and the central pyrite ammonites were located in Charmouth and Lyme Regis, a little further around the Jurassic Coastline of Dorset.

September Stars 2nd Day of Listing!

September Stars!

We are only on day two of listing and at the time of posting this blog, the September Stars listing club has collectively already made 56 sales!

Phenomenal!

'Five Fave Features'

Every time I blog on the September Stars, I will showcase five sellers items, as my favourite star shape has five points!
Today I felt there was a strong textural thread within the September Stars! So I decided to feature
'Five Faves' in my five pointed star theme.

To view these 'stellar' sellers and their products in more detail, please just click on the pictures to 'shoot' across to their shops and view their products in their 'firmament'!

My personal Stellar Feature!

Today my personal listing was to add a little sparkle to my shop, with this cream and gold knitted and crocheted handbag, fully lined with cream cotton and using pine wooden handles.

If you too like a little sparkle but don't want anything overstated, then this handbag might just be the thing for you.

Please just click on the pictures to take a more in depth view of this handbag.

Autumn Gemstone Give Away Winner!

Give - Away Time!

Thank you to everyone who entered, I had 25 wonderful peeps take part in this Autumn Gemstone Give-away!

As it is an autumn give-away and my children had been helping their Daddy on the garden yesterday, with some serious pruning of the Eucalyptus Tree, they had been collecting leaves, so a similar scattering of the competition entries seemed like a fitting way to decide the winner.

My little girl held all of the names in her hands:

And prepared to throw them into the air, with the aim of catching one, which would be the winner.

Now this seems a pretty easy thing to do, but we did wonder how many attempts it would take until she plucked one from the air.

It was even more difficult to capture on photograph!

She caught one on only her second attempt, I thought that quiet impressive!

Here is the Winner is .... drum roll please!

Hannah of Lonely Hearts!

And just in case you thought we generally throw rubbish about in our garden, my little girl collected all the remaining pieces of card up to go in the recycling bin.

She had a fit of the giggles, as she asked me why I was photographing her picking them up and maybe I might like to help, and I told her that if she was going to throw card all over my garden then she had to pick it up!

Cruel I know, but what are children for if you can't enjoy yourself teasing them every now and then.

As soon as Hannah lets me know which Gemstone Keyring / Handbag charm she would like, I will pop it in the post to her!

Thank you everyone for taking part!

Winning Item!

Hannah asked me to choose an item for her, and I felt if only right to involve my little girl in the choice, she read Hannah's email and blog comment, carefully looked at all my displayed shop items and said, "The lady has mentioned this one twice Mummy, so she must like it best of all."

And The Winning item chosen by my Daughter was.....
The African Bloodstone Gemstone Heart Keyring / Handbag charm

Well done Hannah, I shall post it to you first thing in the morning.
